  • Engineering BoM (eBoM) — the Flat Starting Point Whether an engineer builds a one-off in Construct, or Construct runs behind Insight’s configuration to return a construction BoM, what you get first is a flat, as-engineered parts list — left side, right side, top, bottom, door. It says what the product is made of, but nothing about how it’s built.
  • Manufacturing BoM (mBoM) — Enriched for Production The heart of managing production is a multi-level BoM. We’ll show how ITE’s operating group logic, templates and item families enrich that flat list into meaningful assemblies and subassemblies — drawer boxes, fronts, toekicks — that drive the downstream blueprint. This layer is plant- and process-agnostic, and it’s pure Industry 4.0: parts know their own characteristics (thickness, edgebanding, drilling, machining, profile), machines know their capabilities, and the system applies your rules to match them automatically.
  • Supply Chain BoM (eBoM) — Made for Your Plant Once you know the market, catalog, and plant, the BoM is restructured one more time from a supply-chain point of view — adding suppliers, processes, and make-or-buy decisions. This is where you smooth capacity: outsource a high-volume, long-lead item, or keep a short-lead custom job in-house. It generates time-phased production and purchasing demand across your internal (make-to-order/stock) and external (purchase-to-order/stock) supply chain — and re-explodes cleanly whenever you change plants, processes, or automation.
