Klaus Gueniker

Partner & Founder

For over 40 years, Klaus has been passionate about reimagining how furniture and cabinetry are manufactured.
With a background as a cabinet maker and an engineering degree in industrial furniture production, Klaus’s career began in the 1980s and was defined by the drive to identify the next technological advancement—such as computers and automated CNC machines—to revolutionize the kitchen cabinet, office furniture, and institutional casework industries.
This drive for innovation led Klaus and his team at Virtual Systems (VSI) to develop advanced software solutions that integrated the most cutting-edge technologies of the time—from departmental software solutions like CAD, CAM, and MES to building networked Enterprise Manufacturing Solutions. One of their key milestones was the development of Insight, the first Enterprise Manufacturing Solution tailored for demand-driven industries, launched in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Klaus remains committed to pushing the industry forward, most recently into the realm of Industry 4.0. He combines decades of hands-on experience with proven manufacturing philosophies—including the Toyota Production System, lean manufacturing, mass customization, and networked manufacturing—to help manufacturers leverage the latest technologies effectively.
Today, as a founding partner at ITe Consulting, now ITE Partners, Klaus continues to bring this evolved and pragmatic approach to solving complex manufacturing challenges. His work alongside industry pioneers Jens Hoppe, Greg Groves, and Russ Kahn—has helped shape a modern, resilient, and technology-enabled future for the furniture and cabinetmaking industry.

Jens Hoppe

Partner
Jens brings over 20 years of experience in engineering and IT consulting for advanced and highly automated woodworking manufacturers across North America, Europe, and China.
He began his career in 2004, providing engineering management and consulting services to Canadian and U.S. clients at Schuler and Lignum Consulting. During this time, he met and collaborated with Klaus on several projects. In 2006, Jens joined Raywal Cabinets as Director of Engineering, where he developed launch strategies for Raywal and two affiliated companies. He also led a multi-plant deployment of Insight software, working closely with Russ Kahn and Viliam Seidl—now fellow members of the ITE Partners team.
Jens went on to join 2020 Technologies (now Cyncly) before returning to Lignum Consulting. In 2016, he co-founded ITe Germany with Klaus, and in 2019, they partnered with Russ and Greg Groves to form ITe Consulting—now known as ITE Partners. Since its inception, Jens has played a pivotal role in the firm’s strategic growth and key client engagements.
He specializes in designing and implementing highly integrated product and process data architectures. His solutions empower clients to fully utilize the flexibility of modern automated manufacturing cells from leading providers such as Biesse, HOMAG, and IMA-Schelling. Jens also offers deep expertise in dynamic supply chain models, supporting configurations such as PTO, PTS, MTO, MTS, ATO, and ETO.
Jens holds an engineering degree in Industrial Furniture Production from the Technical University of Lemgo, Germany, and is also a certified cabinet maker.

Greg Groves

Partner
Greg brings over 35 years of manufacturing and enterprise IT experience, specializing in systems architecture, technology R&D, project management, and senior IT leadership. He began his career at American Woodmark, where he progressed from mainframe computer operations to lead roles in software development and infrastructure. His work spanned key business areas including finance, operations, and manufacturing, across a wide range of platforms—from desktop and web to mobile and shop floor technologies.
Over his tenure at American Woodmark, Greg held positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in his appointment as Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, he led strategic IT initiatives, including the integration of RSI Home Products—an acquisition that expanded the company to 18 manufacturing plants across North America, producing over 38,000 cabinets daily. Greg collaborated with Klaus and the ITE Partners team to implement a modern data architecture and infrastructure platform, introducing innovations such as parametric modeling, dynamic product configuration, and flexible manufacturing systems.

Following his retirement from American Woodmark in early 2019, Greg joined Klaus in founding ITe-Consulting Inc, now known as ITE Partners. Greg leads IT architecture, infrastructure, and systems integration across digital transformation projects. His contributions include the deployment of AWS Cloud solutions, the WebOrder Management Portal for dealers, finance and accounting integrations, supplier and contract management platforms, and the corporate data warehouse. He also provides expertise in stabilizing and enhancing customized Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) solutions.

Russ Kahn

Partner
Russ brings over 25 years of expertise in furniture manufacturing operations, project management, product development, mass customization, ERP, and manufacturing execution to ITE Partners.
He began his career at Haworth, a leading office furniture manufacturer, where he held roles in quality assurance, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and ERP implementation. Russ played a key role in transforming a major case goods manufacturing plant from a traditional make-to-stock model to a highly agile, batch-size-one production environment.
In 1999, Russ began collaborating with Klaus on a digital transformation initiative focused on engineering and product configuration for Haworth’s case goods line. He joined Klaus at Virtual Systems in 2001, where he led the software implementation team and served as a solution architect for customer projects. Following the acquisition of Virtual Systems by 2020 Technologies (now Cyncly), Russ continued as Product Manager for 2020 Insight, where he led significant product advancements.

After two years in the energy sector focusing on manufacturing and ERP systems, Russ joined ITE Partners in 2019 to establish and lead the company’s U.S. operations. At ITE Partners, Russ oversees application architecture and system design for digital transformation initiatives and serves on the company’s project steering committee.
