Klaus Gueniker

Klaus Gueniker

Partner & Founder

For over 40 years, Klaus has been passionate about reimagining how furniture and cabinetry are manufactured.
With a background as a cabinet maker and an engineering degree in industrial furniture production, Klaus’s career began in the 1980s and was defined by the drive to identify the next technological advancement—such as computers and automated CNC machines—to revolutionize the kitchen cabinet, office furniture, and institutional casework industries.
This drive for innovation led Klaus and his team at Virtual Systems (VSI) to develop advanced software solutions that integrated the most cutting-edge technologies of the time—from departmental software solutions like CAD, CAM, and MES to building networked Enterprise Manufacturing Solutions. One of their key milestones was the development of Insight, the first Enterprise Manufacturing Solution tailored for demand-driven industries, launched in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Klaus remains committed to pushing the industry forward, most recently into the realm of Industry 4.0. He combines decades of hands-on experience with proven manufacturing philosophies—including the Toyota Production System, lean manufacturing, mass customization, and networked manufacturing—to help manufacturers leverage the latest technologies effectively.
Today, as a founding partner at ITe Consulting, now ITE Partners, Klaus continues to bring this evolved and pragmatic approach to solving complex manufacturing challenges. His work alongside industry pioneers Jens Hoppe, Greg Groves, and Russ Kahn—has helped shape a modern, resilient, and technology-enabled future for the furniture and cabinetmaking industry.
Jens Hoppe

Jens Hoppe

Partner
With over two decades of experience in engineering and IT consulting, Jens has worked extensively with advanced, highly automated woodworking manufacturers across North America, Europe, and China.
Jens began his career in 2004, providing engineering management and consulting services with Schuler and Lignum Consulting, where he supported Canadian and U.S. clients in optimizing their operations. It was during this period that he first collaborated with Klaus Gueniker, sparking a longstanding partnership. In 2006, Jens joined Raywal Cabinets as Director of Engineering, where he led new product launches and multi-plant software deployments—including the early implementation of Insight, working closely with Russ Kahn and Viliam Seidl—now fellow members of the ITE Partners team.
He later joined 2020 Technologies (now Cyncly) and returned to Lignum Consulting before co-founding ITe Germany with Klaus in 2016. In 2019, Jens partnered with Russ Kahn and Greg Groves to form ITe Consulting—now ITE Partners—bringing together decades of complementary expertise under one umbrella. Since its inception, Jens has played a pivotal role in the firm’s strategic growth and key client engagements.
Jens specializes in architecting integrated product and process data structures that enable agile, automated production environments. His solutions empower clients to fully utilize the flexibility of modern automated manufacturing cells from leading providers such as Biesse, HOMAG, and IMA-Schelling for our European and North American clients. In addition, our clients rely on Jens’ expertise in flexible supply chain models, where PTO/PTS or MTO/MTS/AT/ETO require these dynamic product and process data models.

With an engineering degree in Industrial Furniture Production from the Technical University of Lemgo, Germany, and a background as a certified cabinet maker, Jens blends technical rigor with deep industry insight to help manufacturers evolve their digital and operational strategies.

Greg Groves

Greg Groves

Partner
With more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing and enterprise IT, Greg has led initiatives at the intersection of systems architecture, R&D, and large-scale technology transformation. His career began at American Woodmark, where he advanced from mainframe computer operations into senior leadership roles, ultimately serving as Chief Information Officer (CIO).
At American Woodmark, Greg guided cross-functional technology efforts spanning finance, operations, and manufacturing, across diverse platforms—from desktop and web to mobile and shop floor systems. As CIO, he oversaw strategic IT programs during the company’s expansion, including the integration of RSI Home Products. This acquisition grew the business to 18 plants across North America, producing more than 38,000 cabinets daily. During this time, Greg partnered with Klaus and an early ITe Consulting team to implement a next-generation data architecture and infrastructure strategy—introducing technologies such as parametric modeling, dynamic product configuration, and flexible manufacturing systems.
Following his retirement from American Woodmark in 2019, Greg joined Klaus, Jens, and Russ to form ITe Consulting (now ITE Partners). He leads enterprise IT architecture and systems integration for digital transformation projects, bringing cloud-native infrastructure and modern application strategies to manufacturing clients. His work includes deploying AWS Cloud solutions, launching the WebOrder Management Portal for dealers, integrating finance and supply chain platforms, and stabilizing customized Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) environments.
Greg continues to help manufacturers modernize with confidence, bridging decades of operational insight with today’s evolving digital capabilities.
Russ Kahn

Russ Kahn

Partner
With over 25 years of experience in furniture manufacturing operations, Russ brings deep expertise in project management, product development, ERP, and manufacturing execution to ITE Partners.
Russ began his career at Haworth, a global office furniture leader, where he held key roles across quality assurance, product and manufacturing engineering, and enterprise systems. There, he played an instrumental role in transforming a traditional make-to-stock case goods plant into a flexible, batch-size-one production environment—laying the groundwork for agile, demand-driven manufacturing.

In 1999, Russ began collaborating with Klaus Gueniker on a digital transformation initiative centered on engineering and product configuration for Haworth’s case goods portfolio. He formally joined Klaus at Virtual Systems (VSI) in 2001, where he led software implementation and served as a solution architect on major customer projects. Following VSI’s acquisition by 2020 Technologies (now Cyncly), Russ continued as Product Manager for 2020 Insight, helping drive the platform’s evolution through significant product advancements.

After a brief tenure in the energy sector supporting ERP and manufacturing systems, Russ rejoined the industry in 2019 as a founding member of ITe Consulting (now ITE Partners), where he established and now leads U.S. operations. He oversees application architecture and system design across the firm’s digital transformation initiatives and serves on the ITE Partners project steering committee, guiding the delivery of scalable, modern solutions for complex manufacturing environments.
